At Cuxton Marina we have a skilled engineering team and are proud of our ability to handle the vast majority of jobs we are asked to do. 

Machine Shop
To support the wide range of engineering services that we can offer customers, Cuxton Marina has
an excellent machine shop. Together with the typical range of sundry equipment, our machine shop includes a Bridgeport milling machine, a large lathe, an engraver and copying machine. This means we can manufacture and repair parts for older boats which would not be readily available or difficult to source.

Mercruiser engines and outdrives
We are proud to have been increasingly asked to undertake work on Mercruiser engines and outdrives. 
This work has ranged from routine servicing and winterisation to complete engine and outdrive rebuilds. 
As a result, we now hold a good stock of second-hand parts, particularly outdrives and
are pleased to help customers by offering excellent savings on costs compared to new parts prices.

Below are some examples of the work we have recently completed...

We were engaged to refit the inside of a narrow boat after a fire had devastated the interior.  This major refurbishment included replacing all the timber panelling, repairing the interior doors, repairing the electrics and the stove.  Finally the whole interior was redecorated.

In the rough and tumble of racing, damage can often occur.  During one race, another boat punched a 4 inch square hole into the side of our customers. We used epoxy resin and colour matching tools to complete the job and now the repair is completely invisible.

A job we have just finished for a berthholder involved fitting a pressurised hot and cold water system with a shower, wc and kitchen plumbing.  We also put in a toilet macerator that fed to a holding tank.  The holding tank has a pump out facility together with all the normal features.  To complete the job, the original toliet compartment was turned into a shower room.
